The GLUGOT (pronounced as gloo-gawt) is the GNU/Linux forum of Thiagarajar College of Engineering. GLUGOT stands for GNU/Linux User Group of Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai. GLUGOT was started in 20-12-2003. The main focus of GLUGOT is to promote Free Software and the spirit of co-operation among TCE students and with the free software community. GLUGOT has also contributed to the community in the form of awareness meetings and sessions. This group also facilitates the meeting of GLUG-Madurai (GNU/Linux User Group of Madurai) in the TCE campus every month.

- Maintaining a good local repository of all the GNU/Linux Distros
- Contributions to Free Software Community in the form of projects.
- Awareness programs for School/College students, Goverment Organizations and Industries
